Yesterdaywe walked. for hours in the area called The South East....still east berlin...quite a few "street" people...we wNdered thru a flea market..and then made our way to the Wall. called theEastGallery.

in 1990 artists painted interesting murals on these walls along a kilometre and a half...some artists came back 20 years later to "upgrade " the paintings....this wall of course is along the River Spree (pronounced"spray" which formed pArt of the divisor of east and west.

We watched  the rowing races for a couple of hours and then walked along the river found lots of little  shops.  which Patti declared very European!   lots of laughter.

the rowers of 8.  were men and women...a country wide competition

they advertise somethingcalled. curry wurst...we did not like it... a sort of cut up hot dog in a curry sauce...
