I am leaving Monday March 13/17for Vietnam to fulfill part of a personal quest to travel up some of the world famous rivers . In Canada I have traveled or canoed The AthabascaRiver The Fraser, the Stlawrence, apart from home. The Thames,The Amazon, The Nile, The Rhone, The Seine, just to name some. There are so many more to tempt one. Have not been on the Volga. Or other Russian rivers,,The Don for example which also is the title of a well known book.
I am leaving from Geneva, Zurich,Bangkok and then on Vietnam airline to Hanoi.
I have pre ordered my visa, supposed to be waiting for me at Hanoi along with guide. I have a cousin who has done great work in Laos educating young women about their bodies . She reckons that she has reached nearly ten thousand young women. She is taking a rest inVietnam and we hope to overlap for an evening. In November she will return to Laos as the hill women want her to come.
The weather in France where I am now is snow covered and cold. Difficult to imagine that I will be at plus 30 soon.
Hi Jackie, your Blog for Vietnam seems to be up and running. We look forward to following your adventure. Wishing we were with you. Hugs!
